2016 Parish Meeting and Parish Poll

A Parish Meeting, called by 6 electors, was held on 24 July 2017. At that meeting a Parish Poll was demanded, with the following agreed questions:-

  • Q1 Do you support the construction of a new A35 trunk road Chideock by-pass which does not pass through any part of the parish of Chideock?
  • Q2 Do you support that the A35 from Dorchester to Honiton be detrunked and therefore designated a scenic route?

 The Poll was held on 17 August 2017, with the following result:-

  • Q1 YES votes = 155 NO votes = 34
  • Q2 YES votes = 104 NO votes = 71
